Meet Melvin Small

Melvin offers private music lessons in various instruments and genres, including piano, guitar, bass, instrumental, percussion, voice, and ukulele. With over 30 years in the music profession, he can help you or your child unlock the music inside. 

Jennifer’s musical journey began at the age of 4 with Suzuki method piano. Throughout high school, she sang in choir, played alto sax in the band, then picked up acoustic guitar on her own. In college, while studying abroad in Granada, Spain, she discovered flamenco guitar. She began learning right away from local maestros and continued studying and perfecting flamenco techniques on her own after returning home. 

In 2008, Her passion for flamenco led her to return to Spain, where she would study Flamenco and Classical Guitar at the Conservatorio de Música in Seville for 4 years. She remained in Seville for several more years, studying on her own and attending master classes. 

In 2019, Jennifer returned home and now performs and teaches in Hilton Head, Bluffton and Savannah. She offers acoustic, classical and flamenco guitar lessons and piano lessons. 

Steve has been playing guitar for over fifteen years and teaching since 2021, and giving guitar lessons has quickly become one of his passions. He is dedicated to helping his students grow into the musicians that they want to be and providing an idea guitar teaching environment for them to do so. Steve teaches students from beginner to expert levels, and also anyone who has an interest in exploring their own creativity in writing music! He is a great fit for all ages and backgrounds. 

Stephen Michaud is a highly skilled drum instructor with over 30 years of experience as a professional drummer. He began his career as a US Marine Corp drummer and has played for prestigious events such as the President of the United States, Chargers football games, and the Rose Bowl. Michaud's talent has also taken him on international tours where he has performed for heads of state.
